Fast Track Award Certificates:

These award certificates are given to units who reach 60% of their membership goal by October 31.

Payment for members must be received in the state office by October 31 and members must be registered in the Unit Portal by November 7.

Award Bonus Drawing:

Each unit who qualifies for the Fast Track Award will be entered into a drawing to take place at the NYS PTA Convention. Six units will be drawn from all recipients to win $250 each.

Alliance for Quality Education Walks for CFE

The Alliance for Quality Education (AQE), a collaborating partner of NYS PTA, is hosting the Ed Walk for CFE.

The walk, to bring awareness to the $3.8 billion in school aid still owed to New York public schools, is still going on!

Many PTAs have been participating and we look forward to more. PTA will be participating in a press conference about the walk next Tuesday, October 11.

Announcing the NYS PTA Reflections Art Roadshow Exhibit

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: Saturday, October 15, 2016, 1:00pm

Hosted by Genesee Valley Region

Location: Monroe 1 BOCES, 15 Linden Park, Rochester NY 14625

This two week-long public access art exhibit features the original multimedia artwork of the 2015-2016 NYS PTA Reflections Award of Excellence and Award of Merit students.

The NYS PTA Reflections Art Roadshow mission is to bring communities together in celebration of student success in the PTA Reflections Program, while advocating for quality arts education for all children.

We hope you can join us for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, featuring a multimedia student art display and remarks from New York State PTA, Genesee Valley Region PTA, and other special guests.

The School of Excellence Registration Deadline is Extended to October 15

National PTA School of Excellence is a recognition program that supports and celebrates partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students.

Through the School of Excellence program, your PTA and school will gain new ways to engage families in school decision-making, such as improvements to programs, practices and policies related to education, health, safety or the arts.

The benefits of the School of Excellence program to schools and children are great. Check out the report here.

Enrollment extended to October 15 for the 2016-2017 school year.
