The 2016-2017 school year may be in the last quarter but membership is year round and ongoing! We need everyone's help to grow membership to show we have the powerful
voice that is needed today to advocate for the health and well-being of all children. Can you imagine the impact we would have if we rallied together and every member added their +ONE?

Membership Dues should be paid monthly to the state office as you acquire new members ($4.00 per member). Please submit with the Dues Payment Slips (word doc). Please add your Unit Code number and Credit Voucher number if applicable so your payments are credited properly.

REMINDERS and TO DO LIST
INSURANCE - NEW THIS YEAR! The insurance application/invoice packet will be mailed out Friday, April 7 to Unit Presidents from our new insurance agency, AIM. You will pay AIM directly this year and will need to return the signed documents enclosed in the packet as well. In case you missed the important insurance information shared recently, you can read it HERE.
FORM A - The Annual Officers' Contact Information (Form A) will accept 2017-2018 officers after May 1, 2017 online HERE. Please be aware that when the Form A is approved, all new officers will receive login credentials for the Unit Portal. All current officers and membership chairs will be made inactive and will no longer have access to the Portal.
SCHOOL ADDRESS - Please verify that your school address is correct on the Unit Portal and contact Dania Welch in the state office at dwelch@nyspta.org with any corrections.
TOTAL SCHOOL EMPLOYEES Field - must be filled in on your Portal. See details in the
Awards Section below.
MEMBERSHIP DUES - Pay final membership dues by May 31.

MEMBERSHIP AWARDS - New process this year!
Membership Award Certificates - To qualify for the
School Pride Award, your unit will need to log into your Portal and fill in the field labeled
"Total School Employees" so we are able to complete the award calculations.
All of the award certificates will be processed automatically this year (no need to apply) based on the member information entered on your Unit Portal. This includes the
Build a Better Community, School Pride, Men Matter and Founders' Day Recruitment award certificates.
Membership Demographic Growth Contest drawing -Two (2) winners in each category, for a total of six (6) winners, will be drawn at the 2017 Summer Leadership Conference to win $250 each! Don't miss out on your chance to win - check out the details HERE! Make plans to participate and watch your unit grow!
Good Apple Award Bonus:
At the NYS PTA Annual Convention, the five (5) units with the highest membership growth percentage over the previous year will be recognized.
The unit with the highest percentage will be awarded a certificate to be as full payment for the registration of one individual to attend the 2018 Annual Convention.
Four (4) runner-ups will be awarded certificates with a value up to $300 to use towards payment for attendance at the 2018 Summer Leadership Conference or 2018 Annual Convention. |
